Get started with WhatSnap in minutes. Install the plugin, connect your first messaging account (WhatsApp, SMS/iMessage, or Twilio), and start messaging through GoHighLevel.
Get WhatSnap up and running in your GoHighLevel account in just a few simple steps. This guide will walk you through the entire installation and setup process.
Prerequisites: You need an active GoHighLevel account with access to the marketplace to install WhatSnap. If you don't have a GoHighLevel account yet, you can create one here

Installation Process
Step 1: Install WhatSnap Plugin
Access the GoHighLevel Marketplace
Click on the following link to access the WhatSnap installation page:
This will redirect you to the GoHighLevel marketplace where you can authorize WhatSnap to access your account.
Select Sub-Account
Once you've authorized the installation, you'll be prompted to select the sub-account where you want to install WhatSnap.
Choose the specific sub-account where you want to enable messaging (WhatsApp, SMS/iMessage, or Twilio)
You can install WhatSnap on multiple sub-accounts if needed
Choose Integration Method
You'll need to decide how WhatSnap integrates with your existing GoHighLevel setup:
Replace your existing SMS channel with WhatSnap
Recommended for maximum functionality
Advantages of overriding SMS channel:
Access to unlimited GHL workflow capabilities
Send attachments (images, videos, documents, audio)
Use wait actions (wait for WhatsApp responses to trigger workflow actions)
Contact assignments and internal notifications
Full integration with existing SMS-based automations
Leverage all GHL features on non-official WhatsApp connections via QR-code
Best for: Users who want maximum automation capabilities and workflow integration.
Add WhatSnap as a separate communication channel
WhatSnap appears as a new tab alongside Email, SMS, and Official WhatsApp
Keeps existing SMS functionality intact
Requires webhooks for workflow automation
More complex setup for advanced automations
Best for: Users who want to maintain separate SMS and WhatsApp channels.

Initial Setup Wizard
Once the plugin is installed, you'll be redirected to your GoHighLevel sub-account where the WhatSnap setup wizard will guide you through the initial configuration.
Step 1: Connect Your First Messaging Account
WhatSnap supports three types of messaging accounts:
WhatsApp: Connect via QR code scan (most popular)
SMS/iMessage (P2P): Use your own phone or Mac to send SMS and iMessages
Twilio SMS: Enterprise SMS with your Twilio number
Important: Make sure you have access to the account you want to connect during this setup process.
Connecting WhatsApp
The wizard will display a QR code that you need to scan with your WhatsApp account:
Open WhatsApp on your mobile device
Navigate to Settings → Linked Devices → Link a Device
Scan the QR code displayed in the WhatSnap wizard
Wait for confirmation that your WhatsApp account is successfully connected
Connecting SMS/iMessage (P2P)
To connect your personal device for SMS and iMessage:
Click on "Connect Device" in the account type selection
Follow the device-specific instructions for your phone or Mac
Install the required companion app if prompted
Complete the authentication process
Connecting Twilio SMS
To configure Twilio SMS:
Click on "Configure Twilio" in the account type selection
Enter your Twilio Account SID
Enter your Twilio Auth Token
Select or configure your Twilio phone number
Complete the setup process
Connection Successful! Once connected, your messaging account will be able to send and receive messages directly through GoHighLevel.

Step 2: Activate Your Account
To start using WhatSnap, you'll need to activate your account with a 5-day free trial:

Common Installation Issues
Connection Issues (WhatsApp QR Code, Device Connection, or Twilio Setup)
If you're having trouble connecting your account:
For WhatsApp QR Code:
Ensure your phone has a stable internet connection
Try refreshing the page to generate a new QR code
Make sure WhatsApp is up to date on your device
Check that your phone's camera has permission to access WhatsApp
For SMS/iMessage Device Connection:
Ensure your phone or Mac has a stable internet connection
Check that all required permissions are granted
Verify the companion app is properly installed
Restart the device and try again
For Twilio Setup:
Verify your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token are correct
Ensure your Twilio number is active and SMS-enabled
Check that your Twilio account has sufficient credits
Payment Processing Issues
If you're having trouble with the payment processing:
Verify your card details are entered correctly
Ensure your card has international transaction capabilities
Check that your billing address matches your card's registered address
Contact your bank if the transaction is being declined
Not Redirected to Dashboard
If you're not automatically redirected after setup:
Check your browser's pop-up settings
Clear your browser cache and cookies
Try accessing your GoHighLevel account directly
Look for the WhatSnap tab in your sub-account navigation
